Action from the second WWE Network women’s tournament won’t start hitting our screens until next Weds, Sept. 5 when episodes from the 2018 Mae Young Classic start airing on the Network every week after NXT (you can, of course, learn the results all the way up to the final match at Evolution on Oct. 28 right now if you’re impatient... the shows taped earlier this month, and spoilers are here and here).
But after the Mae Young Classic: Bracketology special which premiered tonight (Aug. 29), we now know who’s facing who in the first round, and even folks who like to be surprised can start speculating about later round match-ups.
Have a look...

There are several familiar match-ups early, especially on the left side where former TNA Knockouts Mia Yim and Allysin “Sienna” Kay and Progress’ Toni Storm and Jinny face off in round one. There are interesting pairings all over the bracket, though.
The Mauro Ranallo, Beth Phoenix and Charly Caruso-hosted special again does a great job profiling the competitors - and setting up a few potential rivalries, too. Our own Stella Cheeks will be along with a more comprehensive breakdown later... and she’ll be recaping and reacting to each episode along the way, too!
What stands out to you on a first glance at the bracket for the 2018 Mae Young Classic?
