WWE SmackDown Live, Miz & Mrs. ratings (Aug. 28, 2018): Wrestling is better than reality

The hangover from the biggest party of the summer wasn’t as bad for WWE and USA Network on Tuesday as it was the night before.

SmackDown‘s numbers came down another week removed from SummerSlam, sure. But with 2,350,000 tuning in on Aug. 28, it was only a drop off of roughly 87K viewers from the week prior. It was the fifth most watched cable originals on the night, behind the usual suspects on Fox News and MSNBC.

Ratings-wise, the decline was similarly pretty slight. The blue brand’s demographic share among 18 - 49 year olds was a .75, once again the best among its Tuesday night cable competitors.

The news was not as good for the season finale of Miz & Mrs. The reality show lost 74K of its audience from last week, dipping to 1,161,000 (about where it was two weeks ago). Its rating, however, fell sharply - hitting .42, the lowest of its six week run.

Miz & Mrs. is done until season two, for which it’s already been renewed. Here’s a list of SmackDown’s numbers over the past six months:
