A large Irish shadow loomed over SmackDown tonight.
In the main event of this week’s episode of SmackDown, Carmella got her contractually obligated rematch versus Charlotte Flair. The former SmackDown women’s champion brought the fight right to Flair.
Often lauded for her in-ring work, Mella kept step for step with Flair throughout the 15 minute main event.

For the majority of the match it was Carmella who dominated and controlled the action. To the point of frustration Mella could not put away Flair, no matter what she did.
After Carmella took her eye off the ball, Flair laid her out with a spear and Natural Selection combo. With the Figure Eight locked in the center of the ring, Carmella battled but was eventually forced to tap out.
Post-match the live crowd in Toronto got what they wanted. Following chants of her name earlier in the match, Becky Lynch jumped Charlotte Flair moments after her title retaining victory.

Lynch even got on the mic after taking out Flair and verbally laid into her former friend some more.

“When I get my way, come Hell in a Cell. I’m taking my title back. You b*****.”
* Spits out some tea *
So after that, there is just no way the WWE can turn Becky Lynch before Hell in a Cell, right?
