You can’t have a WWE event in Canada without the presence of Kevin Owens.
With this week’s Monday Night Raw taking place from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Owens made a surprise appearance and even got himself a title shot.
In search of the next challenger to his Intercontinental title, Seth Rollins laid out an open invitation for anyone in the back to get a crack at his belt. Owens answered the call and then took Rollins to the limit.
Taking a bye week last Monday night, Owens came out fresh and showed no ill effects from his match with Braun Strowman at SummerSlam.
.@FightOwensFight says he is NOT leaving Toronto tonight without a title. Will he be able to snatch the #ICTitle away from @WWERollins on #Raw? pic.twitter.com/5FUqwIqFj3

Two near falls from Owens got the entire Raw live crowd behind their fellow countryman.
First, Owens hit a Stunner that earned him close two and half. Later in the match, KO countered a buckle bomb from Rollins into a violent Super Kick right on the chin of the champion for a two and three quarters pin attempt.
Running out of options, a spectacular moonsault attempt from Owens missed the mark and it was enough of an opening to allow Rollins to hit a Curb Stomp for the 1-2-3.
Awesome, awesome matchup from @FightOwensFight and @WWERollins! pic.twitter.com/H7Rk5Zoo8h
