Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman didn’t waste anytime on Monday Night Raw.
For the second week in a row, the new WWE Universal champion opened Raw with a mic in his hand. Reigns briefly touched on The Shield reunion from last week but quickly pivoted to running down Strowman and his briefcase.
Doubling down on his fighting champion moniker, Reigns even laid out an open challenge to anyone in the locker room if Strowman didn’t come out and meet the champ face to face.
Before Reigns could utter another word, Strowman walked down to the ring and confronted the Universal champion. After some bickering about last week’s attack from The Shield, Reigns offered Strowman a title match for tonight (Aug. 27) in Toronto.
The Monster declined, due to a looming Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose interference, and instead challenged Reigns to a Hell in a Cell match at next month’s pay-per-view.
