The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the Hell in a Cell event set to take place on Sun., Sept. 16, 2018, at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. This is the tenth time the promotion will hold this event.
We’re still three weeks out from showtime. Here’s how the card looks right now:
- AJ Styles (c) vs. Samoa Joe (WWE championship)
This is a rematch from SummerSlam, where Joe won by disqualification when Styles snapped after repeated attacks directed toward his family. This isn’t a Hell in a Cell match yet, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if it became one.
- Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella vs. The Miz & Maryse
Shortly after Miz said he was retiring from ever wrestling Bryan again, his wife showed up and punched Miz in his face. Paige, nice General Manager she is, had already booked a mixed tag.
Those are the only matches official for the show as of this writing. However, rumors combined with advertisements seem to indicate Roman Reigns will defend the Universal championship against Braun Strowman, Alexa Bliss will get her rematch with Ronda Rousey for the Raw women’s title, The Shield (Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins) will wrestle Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler, and Randy Orton will finally get that match with Jeff Hardy.
You in?
