There was never any doubt that viewership would be up for this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, considering it was coming just one night after a hugely event SummerSlam pay-per-view. The question was how much.
Answer: This week’s show drew 3.09 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.82 million viewers.
The hourly breakdown shows interest was steady throughout the evening:
Hour one: 3.11 million
Hour two: 3.24 million
Hour three: 2.94 million
The Universal championship is back on television each week and finally resting over the shoulder of the man Vince McMahon pegged to be his next big star, Roman Reigns. Now we get to see how his run as champion will do.
It helps that The Shield reunited too.
Next week’s numbers should be interesting indeed.
