This seems like strange timing!
Just one night before Alexa Bliss is scheduled to defend her Raw women’s championship against Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam, WWE has announced that she will be wrestling Trish Stratus at the upcoming Evolution pay-per-view on Sun., Oct. 28, 2018, in Uniondale, New York.
This may have been brought about after word started getting around thanks to advertisements in Brooklyn. It’s hard to believe they would have planned to announce it this way.
Either way, this is where we are. Sorry, Sasha Banks!
Stratus last wrestled in the Royal Rumble back in January. WWE’s reasoning for booking this particular match wasn’t made clear in its article on it over at WWE.com, just that it’s “sure to be a match for the ages.”
Here’s the updated Evolution match card:
- Alexa Bliss vs. Trish Stratus
- Mae Young Classic 2018 Final
