Podcaster. Rock star. Inter-promotional wrestling star. Bestselling author. Cruise director. And now independent film jack-of-all-trades.
That photo of Chris Jericho doing his best Jay to Kevin Smith’s Silent Bob made the rounds this week, and both Y2J and the filmmaker have confirmed the details - Jericho will be playing a role in one of the stories making up Smith’s new horror anthology flick, KillRoy Was Here.
But despite his IWGP Intercontinental Title and run of hit singles from the new Fozzy album, Jericho didn’t big time Smith or anyone on the set in Florida. He’s committed to bringing dark comedy scares to the screen, and the director couldn’t say enough great things about him:
Smith’s been working on this flick for a while and there’s no release date yet, but 2019 seems like a safe bet.
Expect Y2J’s directorial (or at least his first official cinematography credit) to come sometime in the 2020s.
