Early Hell in a Cell card raises interesting questions about WWE plans (possible SPOILERS)

ATTCenter.com

“Card subject to change” of course. But believe it or not considering SummerSlam hasn’t even happened yet, we’re less than a month away from WWE’s September pay-per-view (PPV) event, Hell in a Cell.

So while I wouldn’t use this advertisement from the venue for that show (San Antonio’s AT&T Center) when making your bets for the Biggest Party of the Summer, this handful of matches is interesting discussion fodder.

And isn’t that what we’re all on the interwebs for?

There could be SPOILERS below if this ad is accurate, so... you’ve been warned.

“This will be your chance to see:

Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens!
WWE Champion AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship!
Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton!
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre!”

Taking those one at a time...

  • There’s no mention of a belt or briefcase in Reigns vs. Owens, which makes sense considering rumors the plans for Sunday’s main event haven’t been finalized. Even if this is a match we’ll get, there’s still plenty of fun to be had guessing how it happens with either, or neither, man holding a prize.
  • A rematch? Why, I never... Given the attempts to make this one feel personal, we could see the cell if Styles/Joe happens again in Texas (which we all know it will).
  • The Viper’s gonna keep creepin’, and WWE is gonna let him. Interpret that in kayfabe or reality... it probably works either way.
  • Don’t use up all your “Dean Ambrose heel turn” arguments this weekend, Cagesiders! You may still need them next month.

What stands out to you about these “subject to change” match-ups for Sun., Sept. 16?
