As mentioned in the Aug. 15 Rumor Roundup, Sin Cara’s social media clued folks in to the SmackDown star being injured. WWE has confirmed that along with the nature of the injury - scar tissue in his right knee limiting his mobility and causing joint pain.
The procedure to remove the problem-causing tissue was done by Dr. Jeffrey Dugas at the Andrew Sport Medicine & Orthopedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama. There’s no posted timetable for his return, but he’s already tweeted about being his rehabilitation:

Sin Cara last wrestled at an Aug. 5 house show, where he defeated Aiden English. Prior to that, he was out for a bit earlier this summer due to a shoulder injury.
