Big Show says he’s ready to return to the ring next week

Medical and creative willing, of course.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen The Big Show in a ring. The legendary former WWE Champ has been out of action since 2017 recovering from hip surgery and complications. He’s also successfully transformed his body during the last couple years.

Now, he’s ready to get back in the squared circle for another run. There might be a couple obstacles, though. Show told ESPN earlier this week:

“Hopefully within the next couple of weeks, I will be back in the ring.

That’s the main goal. I’m actually going to try and get cleared Sunday, by [WWE’s] doctors; moving around the ring a little bit. I could be back as soon as the Monday Night Raw after SummerSlam, if they have something for me. Just because I’m healthy, doesn’t mean our creative team is healthy for me yet.”

Those are not insignificant barriers - and the writing team might be a tougher one to clear than Dr. Maroon’s team. We’ll see if we hear “WWWEEEEEEEEELLLLLL...” next Monday (Aug. 20) in Barclays Center.

Fingers crossed, Cagesiders?
