Jerry Lawler, lawyer detail why they believe Brian Christopher didn’t hang himself

Facebook

Recently, Jerry Lawler spoke out on his podcast about the death of his son, Brian Christopher, who was found hanging in his jail cell. On said podcast, Lawler spoke of having his doubts about the official story, that his son had hung himself, but wouldn’t go into it much as the investigation is still ongoing.

Now, in an interview with WMC Action News 5, he went into a little more detail about the situation.

“We’ve received literally countless calls, text messages from people, actual eyewitnesses, that were in the jail and saw things that happened on the actual day that Brian died that now has opened up a new can of worms. It just doesn’t seem like it was suicide.”

Christopher was apparently moved to a segregated cell after a fight, where Lawler says there was a card game that led to a fight where his son was injured and didn’t receive treatment. Then, hours later, he was found dead in his cell.

Perhaps the biggest reason Lawler believes it wasn’t a suicide is the fact that the marks on Christopher’s neck don’t go all the way around. Instead, there is a gap right at his throat, as can be seen in the photos he gave to WMC Action News 5, taken while Christopher was in the hospital and still alive. It is his belief, as well as that of the family’s lawyer, that this indicates it wasn’t a suicide.

As noted, the investigation is ongoing.
