Just before WrestleMania 34, on the Hall of Fame Red Carpet, Alexa Bliss told Cageside Seats she was “very excited” about Ronda Rousey being in WWE and that she expected her to do great. That was before the former UFC champion had even wrestled her first match.
Chris Van Vliet caught up with Alexa today, and, naturally, Rousey came up in the discussion. Bliss, now having worked with Ronda, continues to have nothing but good things to say about her:
”It’s been great (working with her), she’s great. She’s a really good asset to our women’s evolution and I think she’s just what we need right now because we have women from every background, and I think Ronda’s background helps bring a lot of legitimacy to our women’s evolution.”
Rousey is quite clearly a big part of women continuing to be pushed strongly in WWE. She’s front and center on promotional material for the upcoming women’s only pay-per-view, Evolution.
Right alongside Little Miss Bliss.
The two will wrestle for the Raw women’s championship at SummerSlam next month in Brooklyn.
