WWE,com

Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE NXT in its regular Wednesday night at 8PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network.

Check out our Wednesday morning preview post to get caught up on what's been happening, and what we expect this week.

We'll post match results here, and we will also have our regular reactions post later. In the meantime, and most importantly, this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever happens on WWE’s third brand - during its initial broadcast!

NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcasts (including here), but many Cagesiders don't partake. If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.

Enjoy the show!

- The video package on the NXT Title feud which debuted last week opens the show.

- Mauro Ranallo, Percy Watson and Nigel McGuinness barely get a chance to welcome us to Full Sail when The Panama City Playboy arrives

- Adam Cole def. Sean Maluta via pinfall Last Shot

Mostly the North American Champ, with the Cruiserweight getting in a couple spots of offense which only serve to anger Cole. He catches Sean off a dive with a superkick, then ends it.

- Undisputed ERA’s leader gets a mic to say he’s the most buzzworthy Superstar on any brand. Take Maluta, he gave him an opportunity. So if there’s anything who’d like an opportunity... that brings out Ricochet!

Ric owes AC an apology. He didn’t run from this fight - even if he doesn’t even remember the name of the nobody he beat tonight. But since becoming champ, he’s stopped shocking the system and become a coward. The One And Only wants to give Cole a change to prove him wrong, but putting the NA Title on the line against him in Brooklyn.

Cole says Ric is right. AC is great, and that’s why he’s not gonna lower himself by having a match against him in Brooklyn. Ricochet calls him a coward again, so Cole moves to the ring and Ricochet does his springboard power pose.

NXT Tag Champs Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong show up on the ramp tp get Cole’s back, and War Raiders stroll up behind. The ERA moves to the seats, and Moustache Mountain shows up behind them there! Tyler Bate and Trent Seven throw a few punches, and the heels make for the hills.

- “Earlier today”, General Manager William Regal sits down with Women’s Champ Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane to sign the contract for their Brooklyn match. The champ corrects Regal in saying it’s a rematch, since Shayna’s beaten Kairi since the Mae Young Classic. Sane grabs the contact and signs, then slides it back to Baszler saying “I know it, you know it”. Shayna says Kairi is like everyone else in the division, scared and pretending (she mentions Dakota and Candice). Sane again says “I know it, you know it, I can beat you”. Baslzer’s had enough. She signs and leaves. Kairi tells Regal the same thing, and he looks like he kind of but not totally believes her.

- We see Ciampa getting ready backstage, and learn Lacey Evans is in action next.

- Flashback to Velveteen Dream walking out on EC3 in London, leading to EC3 eating a Black Mass from the champ. EC3 is coming for Dream, but next week he’ll uses Kona Reevs to send him a lesson.

- Lacey Evans def. Tenilla Price via pinfall following Women’s Right

Evans thows Price down and hits the handspring bronco buster. She inflicts more punishment in the ropes, then a slingshot elbow drop. Price gets her knees up on a handstand senton, but then runs right into the striking finisher.

- Bianca Belair is interviewed about being injured and missing the #1 contender match next week. Belair says she doesn’t have to explain herself to anyone, because she’s undefeated. And when she’s healthy, she’ll be back to get what’s hers, cause she’s undefeated.

- Shayna walks backtage, telling the interviewer she’s not worried about Sane. Candice LeRae runs up. The champ dares her to slap her again, but someone pulls Candice back. She promises to find the time to get Baszler.

- Tommaso Ciampa def. Alester Black via pinfall to become the new NXT Championship

Ciampa gets right in Black’s face after he enters, denying him his meditative moment. Full introductions from Greg Hamilton, and we’re off.

Violent lock-up at the start, Tommaso works an arm, Aleister takes him down with a leg in a fast-paced opening scramble. They trade several quick covers and roll-ups, with Ciampa taunting the champ after getting two counts.

Down to the floor, kicks wound Ciampa, one sending him into the barricade, and other buckling his knees. Tommaso lands a strike when Black chases him into the ring, but it’s a momentary respite as the champ keeps the pressure on. He ends the flurry by sending Tommaso to the ramp and hitting his back-flip cross-legged pose which he emphasizes with Ciampa’s signature slow wave.

All the champ, until Black tries for a moonsault off the ropes and Blackheart catches up and shoves him head first over the ropes. There, he throws him into the barricade and the steps before offering a wave of his own. Back in the ring, after a quick unsuccessful cover, Ciampa starts working over the Dutch Destroyer, targeting his back.

The challenger uses that to lock in a Boston Crab, but Black makes the ropes. They battle there, and Aleister gets some space by lighting Ciampa up with kicks on the apron. The champ fights off a package pildriver off the ropes, but neither can gain an advantage when they get back to the mat. Each man is down after they run into one another.

Trading kicks, Black gets the better of a striking exchange. Springboard moonsault from the champ gets two. The champ again gets the better of strikes, but Ciampa will not stay down after a stiff spinning backfist.

The challenger begs off, but the champ answers with kicks to the chest yelling “tweet about this!” The battle heads to the outside, where Ciampa kicks the champ to the floor. On the chase back into the ring, Tommmaso catches Black with a diving DDT for two! A big clothesline gets another nearfall. CIampa lowers the knee brace, but the champ boots him in the face before he can strike, and it’s another 2.99 count!

Black up first, lifts Ciampa with his foot and lines him up for Black Mass. But Ciampa ducks. Meteora from Aleister and a German Suplex for two! Ciampa rolls out, dodges a dive and throws the champ into a cameraman. When Drake Wuertz checks on the cameraman, Ciampa gets a crutch from under the ring and hits the champ in the head, but he KICKS OUT!

Black connects with a dive to the floor, but when they head back into the ring, Ciampa nails him with the rope-assisted DDT. It still only gets TWO! Tommaso exposes the concrete on the floor, and Drake tries to stop him, but he ends up shoved into the concrete floor. BLACK MASS! But there’s no one to count it!

Aleister tries to revive the ref, then heads back in where Ciampa tries to rip Black’s eye out! He gets the title and HERE COMES JOHNNY! He superkicks Ciampa and tries to take the belt away, but inadvertantly hits Black with it! Blackheart throws his former partner to the floor, spike suplexes Aleister and NEW NXT CHAMPION!

- With boos raining down, Ciampa makes Wuetrz strap the belt around his waist and raise his hand.
