After a weekend of speculation that centered around an all women’s pay-per-view, the introduction of women’s tag team titles, and more, Stephanie McMahon made her way out on Monday Night Raw this week from Cincinnati to “make history” once again. It was big enough that her father, Vince McMahon, personally introduced her and her husband, Triple H, with the entire locker room standing up on the stage.
That included the women’s roster from SmackDown.
Before making the announcement, Triple H asked the women to step forward before saying the men behind them support them, as do the fans. He got emotional talking about the women stealing the show.
“I just want you to know we are so proud of you,” he said.
Stephanie took it from there and delivered an inspirational speech before saying that on Sun., Oct. 28, 2018, over 50 women will participate in an event called “Evolution” and it will be the first ever all women’s pay-per-view. Michael Cole would reveal that it will take place in Long Island, New York, and the Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and NXT UK women’s titles would be on the line, as well as the final of the Mae Young Classic.
