NXT doesn’t rebuild, they reload. In case you were worried NXT wasn’t stacked enough with upcoming talent, today (Jul. 17) the brand officially introduced some of its latest free agent acquisitions.
Last month Keith Lee made the traditional NXT front row crowd shot appearance during NXT TakeOver: Chicago 2. Today for a WWE NXT Instagram story, Lee cut a promo announcing his first day down in Orlando.

A 6’3, 330 lb Texas big man Lee is an Evolve and PWG vet and has already nabbed the elusive five-star match rating from Dave Meltzer when he took on Donovan Dijak at the PWG’s 2017 Battle of Los Angeles.
Three weeks ago the WWE confirmed the signing of Japanese superstar Io Shirai and today the 28-year-old cut her first promo at the WWE Performance Center.

Tabbed as one of the best wrestlers in the world regardless of gender, Shirai made an appearance at a WWE house show in Tokyo on Jun. 30 to announce her moving to NXT as well as her entry into the second Mae Young Classic.
Earlier in the month it was announced that veteran Deonna Purrazzo was out of Sept. 1’s ALL IN event and her appearance today at the WWE Performance Center looks to be the reason why.

Still only 23-years-old, Purrazzo was an alternate for the first Mae Young Classic, and it looks like she may be a participant in the second MYC once it begins later in the summer.
