Ronda Rousey jumps the barricade, Alexa Bliss retains the Raw women’s title anyway

New, 39 comments

Ronda Rousey showed up in the front row at tonight’s (Sun., July 15, 2018) WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, just like she said she would. She was there early and having a blast posting on Instagram, just waiting around for the Raw women’s championship match where Nia Jax would challenge Alexa Bliss for her title.

This was the first ever women’s Extreme Rules match. And the focus was mostly on what would happen with the suspended wrestler sitting front row.

It turned out, she got involved right when Bliss and Mickie James attacked Natalya, who was ringside assisting Jax. She jumped the barricade and tossed James around before running down Bliss. Before she could ever do any damage, James caught up with a kendo stick. With Rousey and Nattie both down, Bliss and James teamed up to take out Jax, ending with a DDT on a chair that got the pinfall.

And just like that, Alexa Bliss is still your Raw women’s champion.

And we’re left to wonder what the fallout of Rousey jumping the barricade will be.
