Carmella’s run of wins won’t be confused for Asuka’s any time soon, but it includes plenty of boast worthy wins over big names from WWE’s women’s roster. But with James Ellsworth in a shark cage above the ring, her SmackDown Women’s Title was in jeopardy at Extreme Rules on July 15.
Being kept out of the ring didn’t stop Jimmy Dream from trying to help his friend-who-is-a-girl. First he dropped her a steel chain, then a bottle of hair spray.

The Empress of Tomorrow was ready for both, however. And after she thwarted them, she slapped on an Asuka Lock and looked to become Champ.
Mella made it the ropes, however, and when the action spilled to the outside, Ellsworth picked the lock and made his escape. He got caught up in the cage, and hanging upside down, he proved to be an tantalizing target for Asuka to use as a kicking bag.

When production crew ran in to try to get James back in the cage and raised back up, Asuka snapped and attacked everyone. That was the opening The Princess of Staten Island needed to attack from behind and sent her challenger face-first into the cage and get the pin.
The Empress took out her frustrations on Ellsworth, but she’s still not champ.
