Hope someone made CM Punk a real pro wrestling offer in the time between his interview last night and today’s (Jun. 7) new interview. In an excellent sit down interview with Ariel Helwani and our sister site, MMAFighting.com, Punk left the door open for a possible pro wrestling return in an answer to the final question of a 22 minute chat.
Today? Punk buried his own answer to a similar question at an UFC 225 media day session. Two days prior to his second fight in the UFC, Punk was asked if he would rule out a return to pro wrestling under the right circumstances.
Punk’s response?
After saying yesterday that an offer hasn't come along yet, CM Punk is emphatic about his pro wrestling future: "I'm done, I'm done, I'm done with professional wrestling" pic.twitter.com/xKnW56XHSU

“Yesterday I said a bunch of stuff about wrestling, about how I’ve never gotten a true offer. This does not mean I want to wrestle. I’m done. I’m done. I’m done with professional wrestling. A lot of people like to be mad at me about that, make fun of me because I lost my first fight. And it’s like, that’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion, but you do not own me, and I’m entitled to do what I want to do and that’s what I’m doing. Wrestling is in the rear view mirror, I’ve been trying for five years to put wrestling in the rear view mirror, and some people just won’t let it go. I don’t know. They want to live my life for me”
So you’re telling me there’s a chance?
