WWE is promoting a Xavier Woods vs. Kenny Omega Street Fighter match

Is this as close we were going to get to a New Day vs. Elite feud? Hell may or may not have frozen over and WWE.com is heavily promoting a Kenny Omega news item.

Pro wrestling is everywhere but Street Fighter unites us all. Thanks to Street Fighter, we are now getting a Xavier Woods vs. Kenny Omega Street Fighter V team battle next Thursday (Jun. 14) at E3.

If you’ve been following closely, Omega and Woods have been feuding over who’s a better Street Fighter V player since 2016. They’ve met each of the last two years and are 1-1 in the series.

The beef boiled over on social media earlier in the week.

Now the WWE is even getting in on this video game war of words between the New Day’s Xavier Woods and who they are calling independent wrestling star Kenny Omega.

Today (Jun. 7) Woods and Omega verbally agreed to settle their score in Street Fighter V at the Capcom booth during E3. And because this pro wrestling, the official contract signing between the two men had both a swerve and run-in at the end of the video.

Who wins: Team Woods or Team Omega?
