CM Punk says he could not participate in UFC workouts due to anxiety

This may not be the best sign. CM Punk has had a rough two weeks and now he’s less than 72 hours away from his second ever UFC fight.

With his legal problems behind him, Punk took part in the UFC 225 open workouts for the media and public yesterday (Jun. 6) in Chicago; kind of.

The UFC open workouts are something the MMA promotion holds prior to all their major pay-per-view events.

The routine usually consists of a fighter grappling, hitting pads or warming up on stage while media and fans look on. Afterwards the fighter will get on the mic and answer a few questions as well.

Scheduled to take on UFC welterweight Mike Jackson Saturday night on PPV, Punk choose not to participate in the planned media event and his reasoning was interesting.

So yeah, who’s ready for CM Punk’s second shot in the UFC?
