Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE 205 Live as it airs on WWE Network.
A week after coming up short in a thrilling match with Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander, 205 Live General Manager DRAKE MAVERICK is giving Buddy Murphy another big opportunity. He’ll face Alexander’s friend and rival Mustafa Ali as both men try to earn another shot at Cedric and the title.
DM THE GM also booked a match which is sure to continue the issues between Lucha House Party and the new alliance of Drew Gulak and The Brian Kendrick & Gentleman Jack Gallagher. Kendrick faces Lince Dorado tonight.
Not mentioned but possibly continuing this week are TJP’s demands for better competition and Hideo Itami’s continuing quest for respect after beating his old tag partner, and former Cruiserweight Champ, Akira Tozawa.
We'll post match results and plot developments here. And this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the WWE’s cruiserweight showcase - while it’s being broadcast at 10PM Eastern!
Enjoy the show!
- A recap of Cedric Alexander’s successful title defense over Buddy Murphy kicks us off. From there, Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness and Percy Watson welcome us to Corpus Christi, and DRAKE MAVERICK tells us about the two matches announced in advance.
- Lince Dorado (with Kalisto and Gran Metalik) def. The Brian Kendrick (with Drew Gulak) via pinfall after a springboard cutter
Gulak is on commentary, selling his pamphlets on the issues with lucha. He gets involved when Lince hits a suicide dive toward the announce table, yelling at him to get back in the ring. That creates an opening for Kendrick to throw the Lucha House Party team into each other, but when the action heads back to the ring, he misses a splash and turns into the finish.

Afterwards, Gulak goes after Kalisto, puts him down and heads into the ring for Dorado. After he’s dealt with, Gulak and Kendrick head up the ramp as Kalisto and Metalik check on their friend.
- After more hype about last week’s main event, Mustafa Ali cuts a promo from the locker room. He’s proud of his buddy Ced, and his performance made him hungry to prove himself, too. Buddy Murphy thinks he’s gonna run through Mustafa for another title shot. He knows Murphy is strong, but does he have the heart to get through the heart of 205 Live?
- TJP def. Brian Keith via submission with a cloverleaf
The first Cruiserweight Champ grabs a mic and apologizes to Keith before squashing him. If DRAKE MAVERICK doesn’t respect his talent, maybe William Regal, Kurt Angle or Paige will.

- Lio Rush is coming to 205 Live! He gets a promo package to say he’s the best cruiserweight in the world, a 23 year old piece of gold, a living legend and a phenomenon. It’s just a matter of time before 205 Live feels the Rush.

- After we learn about a six-man between Lucha House Party and Kendrick, Gulak and Jack Gallagher next week, Tony Nese and Buddy Murphy are hanging around together backstage again. Nese says Buddy took the champ to the limit last week, and the result will be different next time. Murphy says he’s a juggernaught, and he’s gonna prove you can’t stop the unstoppable.
- Mustafa Ali def. Buddy Murphy via disqualification when Hideo Itami attacked Ali.
Another really good 205 Live main event ends before Ali could hit the 0-5-4, and sets up a whole mess of potential challengers for Alexander after Itami also hit Murphy with the hesitation drop kick after the match. He then landed a knee to Mustafa’s head before credits rolled.
