Eric Young answers U.S. title open challenge, chaos ensues

@WWE

When Shinsuke Nakamura was pulled from his United States championship match against Jeff Hardy on SmackDown Live this week, WWE opted instead to have the champ issue an open challenge. Said challenge was answered by the leader of SAnitY, Eric Young.

This comes just one week after the trio debuted on the main roster by laying out The Usos before a planned match.

Young was given a lot of offense, enough that commentary was calling it a “systematic destruction” of Hardy, who spent almost the entirety of the match selling. Late in the match, Jimmy & Jey Uso showed up through the crowd and kick-started a brawl with Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe on the outside.

When Young got involved, and it spilled into the ring, the referee called for a disqualification. The chaos turned into a six-man tag.

So much for that title match!
