During a Q&A for Cricket Wireless, Bayley was asked about SmackDown and had this to say:
“I’ve never been on SmackDown before. Since I’ve come to the WWE I’ve been on Raw. I think I’ve done pretty good. I’ve been Raw women’s champion, I was in the Elimination Chamber, I was in the Royal Rumble match. Although I’d like to go to SmackDown and win that title because it’s the only one I haven’t won, I’m very happy on Raw right now.”
One could argue that Bayley has been misused in various ways since she made her way to the main roster but WWE may have hit on the right storyline/character development with her attack on Sasha Banks during this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. They should get plenty of time — and hopefully some classic matches — before it’s time to freshen things up.
Say, right around the Superstar Shakeup after WrestleMania 35 next year? After all, SmackDown will be a much bigger deal come October 4, 2019.
For that matter, how incredible is it that Bayley has never once appeared on SmackDown?!?
