WWE Raw viewers down big this week

WWE saw a nice gain in viewership for Monday Night Raw last week, which makes sense considering it was coming one night after Money in the Bank and there was plenty of fallout to look forward to (Alexa Bliss cashing in, Ronda Rousey’s response, Braun Strowman winning a contract to challenge the Universal champion). This week, the numbers came crashing back down to Earth.

Indeed, while last week’s show drew 2.90 million viewers, this week’s drew 2.66 million.

There was, however, quite the change in the hourly breakdown:

Hour one: 2.59 million
Hour two: 2.67 million
Hour three: 2.71 million

The usual pattern has been to start strong before a second hour bump and a big dropoff in the final hour. Here, they gained steadily throughout the evening with a show headlined by a fantastic Intercontinental championship match that saw Seth Rollins fail to win the title back from Dolph Ziggler.
