Well, I’ll be damned.
All the way back at WrestleMania 33 in 2017, Undertaker lost to Roman Reigns in the main event match, leaving his gear in the ring and seemingly, finally, mercifully retiring from professional wrestling. Reigns even cut a promo on Monday Night Raw the very next evening saying “this is my yard now” and walking out. WWE wouldn’t commit to “The Deadman” being gone, however, and he made a return at Raw 25 this year before squashing John Cena in a nothing match at WrestleMania 34 back in April and beating Rusev in a casket match at Greatest Royal Rumble just weeks after.
Now, he’s back again, this time to work the upcoming July 7 house show at Madison Square Garden and the venue’s website is advertising his match, another main event involving Reigns.
Except this time they’ll be teaming together.
Indeed, as of now, and this comes with the disclaimer that the card is subject to change, Undertaker will be teaming with Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman against the team of Kevin Owens & Baron Corbin & Elias. This goes along with rumors that he could be gearing up for another match at SummerSlam in August and that’s without mentioning he’s wrestling Triple H in Australia later this year.
“The Phenom” certainly isn’t a regular but how about working all these dates at the age of 53? He’s even got an Instagram now! What is going on with 2018?!?
