“I feel like I have so much potential, that even though I’ve accomplished a lot I feel like I’m always capable of more. I have more to contribute to this world than I already have. The WWE seems like the most direct way to affect lasting social change that I want to happen before I bring children into this world. This is the right time, this is the right place, and I have an idea whose time has come. I don’t want my kids to put up with some of the bullshit I had to, so I’m going to change it. And this is how.”
That’s Ronda Rousey during an interview for the above video following her backstage leading up to her Raw women’s title match against Nia Jax at Money in the Bank this past Sunday night just outside Chicago, Illinois. She later goes on to say that it’s not all that important to her that she’s ever champion, it’s important that WWE is better off for her having been in it.
She doesn’t necessarily expand on the social change she’s hoping to bring about, but it sounds clear WWE will have plenty of time with her before she takes time away to make a family.
