There were rumors floating around that WWE was considering adding Andrade “Cien” Almas vs. Sin Cara to the Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) this coming Sun., June 17, 2018, just outside Chicago, Illinois. They went ahead and just booked it for this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.
Now it’s not happening.
That’s according to WWE.com, who report Sin Cara has a shoulder injury and hasn’t been cleared for competition. It reads like an angle, with Almas getting credit for doing the damage:
The masked man was originally scheduled to face his former friend, Andrade “Cien” Almas, tonight on SmackDown LIVE, but due to a shoulder injury suffered when Almas attacked him last Tuesday, Sin Cara will not be able to do battle.
It seems to be an angle, so it’s possible they’re simply holding out until the PPV. We’ll keep you up to date on the latest word either way.
