Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE 205 Live as it airs on WWE Network.
This week, after weeks of simmering tensions between the two groups, Lucha House Party will throw down with the new alliance of Drew Gulak, Jack Gallagher and The Brian Kendrick. Of course, there hasn’t been much mention of the fact Gulak and Gallagher still need to have a first round match in the United Kingdom Championship Tournament. Whether or not that will be an issue here remains to be seen.
Also, a de facto #1 contenders match between the last two challengers for Cedric Alexander’s Cruiserweight Championship, Mustafa Ali and Buddy Murphy, was disrupted by Hideo Itami and his demands for respect. And TJP wants out of the division all together.
We'll post match results and plot developments here. And this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the WWE’s cruiserweight showcase - while it’s being broadcast at 10PM Eastern!
Enjoy the show!
- DRAKE MAVERICK narrates a recap of last week’s main event between Mustafa Ali and Buddy Murphy, and Hideo Itami’s attack which prevented a decisive finish. To show that kind of tactic not only won’t earn you a Title Opportunity but flat out won’t be tolerated under his leadership, Itami is barred from appearing on tonight’s show.
Ali has agreed to return to the ring to face Murphy’s “training partner” Tony Nese. But first, it’s our previously announced trios action!
- Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness and Percy Watson welcome us to Memphis for the show.
- Kalisto is pushing a pinata with Drew’s face tapped to its head. Percy says it’s LHP’s new mascot, Penelope Gulak.

Dasha Fuentes interviews the heels backstage. Gallagher and Kendrick talk about needing to top Lucha House Party to prove they’re the best team on 205 Live. They luchadors numbers game is now over. Gulak has enlisted two professors for his vision of making the show a technical masterclass.
Joseph brings up Gulak and Gallagher’s first round UK Championship Tourament match. He says it happened at Download (it didn’t, it was at the last NXT Taping) and we’ll be able to see it when all the first round matches are released online tomorrow at 2PM Eastern.
- Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik) def. The Brian Kendrick, Drew Gulak and Jack Gallagher via pinfall with a roll-up (Dorado on Kendrick)
All LHP early on, leading to an assisted tope from Dorado onto all three of their opponents on the floor. Gulak eventually powers Kalisto into the heels corner, where the numbers game allows them to put him in peril. When Kalisto does get to the corner, Kendrick distracts the referee so he misses the tag. Gallagher attacks Kalisto on the floor while Gulak clears Metalik and Dorado off the apron with forearms.
He eventually gets to the corner by battling out of a superplex set-up to send Drew to the floor and hit a DDT on Kendrick. Metalik comes in hot, and after another tag to Dorado, they take Gallager down for a nearfall, but Gulak breaks it up. Chaos follows, Gulak gets hot with two handfuls of tights on a pin, then Lince hits a double Golden Rewind on Jack and Drew, setting them up on the outside for stereo dives by Metalik and Kalisto. Kendrick made the most of things however, locking in Captain’s Hook, but Lince hangs in there. He gets the finish when Brian readjusts to keep him away from the ropes, grabbing the tights to secure the win.

- Hideo Itami with a selfie promo demanding respect from Mustafa Ali and Buddy Murphy. MAVERICK is watching this on his phone when Murphy barges in, demanding a shot at Itami. DRAKE says Ali has asked for the same thing, and neither are getting it because emotions are running too high. DM THE GM can’t risk having another main event ruined. He also gives Buddy some advice - come to your boss with a request, not an ultimatum.
- Selfie promo from Mustafa in the locker room. He acknowledges a setback last week, but when that he happens, he gets right back up. So that’s what he’s gonna do tonight, and he hopes Buddy and Hideo are watching.
- Akira Tozawa def. Steve Irby via pinfall following a top rope back senton
Irby gets in a fair amount of early offense, but this was a squash to begin reestablishing the former Cruiserweight Champ after he put over Itami. The announcers talk about how going forward, Tozawa won’t rely on anyone but himself.

- Another “coming soon” promo for Lio Rush. He feels disrespected WWE had two Cruiserweight tournaments without the best cruiserweight in the world. It’s the right time, and the right place, and he’s the right man.
- Nese in the locker room, saying he knows Ali thinks he’s working his way back to another title shot, but tonight is all about him making his mark.
- TJP selfie promo from in front of a brick wall. He’s not surprised we’re having another 205 Live without a high profile match for him. He’s gonna keep hitting the weights and racking up Instagram lights, and when he goes heavyweight, DRAKE MAVERICK is gonna remember him not as the man who carried the division on his back, but the one who got away.
- Nese brings out his training partner Buddy Murphy as his second. The heels surround Mustafa, so Cruiserweight Champ Cedric Alexander makes his way to the ring. Murphy and Alexander head to the floor at the ref’s direction so we can start the main event.
- Mustafa Ali def. Tony Nese via pinfall following an 0 - 5 - 4
Ced and Ali back Murphy up the ramp after he tries to get involved early, which lets Nese grab Mustafa from behind and throw him into the ring post. Tony controls the action as DRAKE MAVERICK watches on a monitor backstage. There are several nearfalls on Ali, including a painful looking bump when the Chicagoan landed on his feet after flipping off the top only to be bum rushed by a lariat and hit with a Michinoku driver.

Mustafa gets in control when he counters the Running Knee-se with a superkick than follows that by diving onto his opponent on the floor. Out there, things break down between Murphy and the champ, leading to a brawl to the back.

Vicious looking buckle bomb gets two for Tony, but after Mustafa dodges the Knee-se again, he hits a Tornado DDT and then climbs for his finisher.
- After the win, Ali grabs a mic to say DM THE GM said everyone would get what they want, and he knows that he, Buddy Murphy and Hideo Itami want to tear each other’s heads off. So next week, why not make the main event a Triple Threat!
- Dasha catches up with DRAKE MAVERICK and he makes the match.
It’s what they want…
