That reunion of new IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega and his brothers-from-another-mother (and new IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champs) The Young Bucks is already booked for a trios match, and it’s a showdown a lot of folks have dreamed about... but it won’t take place in a wrestling ring.
Heading into New Japan’s Dominion 6.9, we already knew Omega was set for a Street Fighter bout with his long-time gaming rival Xavier Woods. The “verbal” contract signing for their battle at the Capcom booth during the E3 video game conference in Los Angeles included some (back-handed) congrats for Kenny’s historic win, but the smack talk also raised the stakes. Woods/Omega III would now be a TAG MATCH, PLAYA! And we’ll give you two guesses who’s rounding out X’s squad...
As I said, ive already got my team for #E3. Who you bringing Kenneth? @kennyomegamanx @streetfighter @upupdwndwn pic.twitter.com/6a5ivHZsSZ

(That video goes on an uncomfortably long time, but it is worth sticking around for Big E impersonating Macho Man while telling Omega to “tighten it up, Kenneth”)
Who - who? who? - would The Best Bout Machine get for back-up? It ain’t Cody Rhodes and Hangman Page...
I appreciate the sentiments on my historic win, @XavierWoodsPhD , but for you to assume that I wouldn’t find any friends for #E3 is about as silly as your mid card comedy act partners. Get ready for your first main event, boys. https://t.co/VOID0xornN #theElite

Matt has a few days to figure out the differences between Street Fighter II Turbo and Street Fighter V... will that be enough to get ready for World Wrestling Federation’s The New Day?
You can find out when The Elite vs. The Princes of Positivity happens on Capcom’s Twitch channel at 4PM Eastern, this Thurs., June 14!
