WWE SmackDown Live ratings (May 15, 2018): Numbers remain down against NBA

After last week’s six-month low numbers, SmackDown... did pretty much the exact same thing on May 15.

Which, maybe isn’t that bad? Considering the show was taped and spoilers were available, and WWE went up against a big night for basketball which featured the NBA Draft Lottery and a closely contested playoff game which saw one of the most popular franchises ever come back to beat the team with the best player in the world? With those factors in play, an increase of 5,000 viewers could be seen as an accomplishment*.

You can weigh in on whether Team Blue should have gotten more or less than the 2,298,000 who gave WWE the eighth biggest audience among cable originals on the night, behind NBA coverage and numerous political talk shows on Fox News and MSNBC.

At .70, the rating among 18 - 49 year olds was also down just a hair from the week prior, making it the smallest of the year for the show.

Here’s a list of SmackDown’s numbers over the past six months (including overall 18 - 49 year old ratings for 2018 episodes):
