“This is your house.”
That’s what the fans chanted at Paige just after she announced that she is retiring from professional wrestling due to a neck injury that will not allow her to wrestle again. She had a four year run on the main roster in WWE, debuting on Monday Night Raw to win the Divas championship from AJ Lee the night after WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans.
Now, in the very same city, she has announced she is moving on to something else.
She thanked Daniel Bryan for giving her hope while also thanking Edge, who himself was forced to retire due to a neck injury, for showing her there is a life away from professional wrestling. She’s just 25-years-old and has her entire life ahead of her.
That life just won’t include working matches anymore.
Four years ago in New Orleans, @RealPaigeWWE debuted and won the #DivasChampionship.
