WWE announces new attendance record for WrestleMania 34

WWE has issued a press release stating the event has broken the all-time attendance entertainment event gross revenue record at Mercedes-Benz Superdome with 78,133 attending tonight’s (Sun., April 8, 2018) WrestleMania 34 event.

“WWE’s annual pop-culture extravaganza grossed $14.1 million, surpassing the venue’s previous record of $10.9 million set by WrestleMania 30 in 2014,” the release read.

“WrestleMania’s return to New Orleans once again delivered record results,” WWE Executive VP of Special Events John Saboor said in the release. “This would not have been possible without the tireless support of Mayor Landrieu and our Local Organizing Committee partners throughout New Orleans. We now look forward to a historic WrestleMania 35 celebration next year in New York and New Jersey.”

The event is listed by WWE as the sixth highest attended WrestleMania of all time.

WrestleMania 30, in the same venue, is listed at 75,167 in attendance.
