We know he’ll be back later this month - he’s already been announced for what is currently advertised as a Raw Tag Team Championship match with brother Matt against The Bar at Greatest Royal Rumble. Before that, Jeff Hardy posted himself about wrapping up physical therapy on his surgically reconstructed shoulder.
The Charismatic Enigma made both things official with an interview from the Red Carpet for The 2018 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony on Friday night (April 6), telling Byron Saxton and Maria Menounos:
“I’m cleared to wrestle, so I’m just waiting for the appropriate idea to get started.”
Hmmm...
Now, the appropriate idea maybe (probably, even) isn’t “show up unannounced for the Kickoff battle royal”. But with his Woken sibling - and tag partner for April 27 in Saudi Arabia - in The Andre The Giant Memorial, it’s conceivable Jeff could end up there. Maybe he could kickstart some issues with Cesaro and Sheamus that lead to Greatest Royal Rumble by being Braun Strowman’s mystery partner at WrestleMania 34?
Or, WWE looked at the line-up and decided they don’t need to rush the younger Hardy Boy back... and can wait to make sure his March DWI arrest was a blip on the radar and not a return to old troubles.
We’ll find out Sunday night if Jeff makes it two straight WrestleMania surprises.
