In finally making an official announcement on what they have planned for the WrestleMania 34 Kickoff show this Sun., April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, WWE revealed there will be guest commentators for two of the three matches scheduled.
Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler will team up once again to call the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal while Beth Phoenix will help call the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.
This will be the second time Ross and Lawler have worked together on WWE television this year, the last coming back in January at the Raw 25 special. Phoenix, meanwhile, spent the past 12 weeks providing color commentary on the Mixed Match Challenge.
In addition, Shawn Michaels was announced as joining the panel hosted by Renee Young and they’re promising “plenty of surprises” as well.
No word on what matches will be broadcast as part of the USA Network portion of the Kickoff.
