Daniel Bryan breaks record for longest time in a Royal Rumble match

Daniel Bryan WWE Network

Daniel Bryan entered the Greatest Royal Rumble match from the number one spot. Considering there would be 50 entrants in said match, that would give him the chance to break the record for longest time spent in a single Royal Rumble match.

You bet your ass he did it.

The previous record holder was Rey Mysterio, who went 1:02:14 when he entered from the number two spot to win the 2006 Royal Rumble. Bryan shattered that mark, ultimately ending with a time of 1:16:05. Unless they do another Greatest Royal Rumble, that record will likely never be broken. No Royal Rumble match has ever lasted that long.

He made it all the way to the final three — damaged chest and all — before being eliminated by Big Cass.

If this were held anywhere other than Saudi Arabia perhaps the fans would have revolted as they have in past Royal Rumble matches with Bryan involved (and sometimes not involved) but Cass was simply booed before himself being tossed by Braun Strowman, the winner.
