We’re not sure how many surprises to expect during Greatest Royal Rumble, even with 50 spots in the match which gives the show in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia its name.
That’s because it was hard to sneak people into The Kingdom. Take Shawn Daivari, for example. His appearance was reported yesterday, so it wasn’t a shock when he came to the ring at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium on April 27. We weren’t necessarily expecting him to cut off four men who’d attended the tryouts WWE’s been holding in the country over the last couple weeks, though.
That’s what he did, joining his brother - 205 Live’s Ariya Daivari - to cut off Nassar, Hussein, Monsoour, and Fisal’s speeches to their fellow Saudis (although Monsoour is apparently an independent wrestler out of California). That led to a cheer-inducing moment when the local guys ran off the vain Iranian interlopers...
