WWE Greatest Royal Rumble results: AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura goes to a double countout

@BustedOpenRadio via WWE Network

The rematch to the dream match.

Or, how one man learned to low blow his way to a title shot.

Indeed, Shinsuke Nakamura, despite losing clean in the center of the ring when he challenged AJ Styles for the WWE championship at WrestleMania 34 earlier this month, found himself with a rematch after a series of low blows on solidified his turn as the evil villain in this story.

He got his chance at today’s (Fri., April 27, 2018) WWE Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

He did not succeed.

Instead, a double count out.

You could argue this was just as good as the WrestleMania match, and maybe better if not for the finish and only because Nakamura is relishing his new role. He cheated and took shortcuts, gaining the edge however he could with a sly grin on his face.

Late in the match, he avoided a Phenomenal Forearm and when Styles just narrowly missed the referee, checking on him with his back turned, Nakamura hit him with yet ANOTHER low blow.

He just happened to be near the ropes when he collapsed. That’s all that saved him.

He snapped just after and battled with Shinsuke on the outside long enough that both were counted out. It made sense, sure, but was an unsatisfactory finish for what was the best match on the card up to that point.
