Report: WWE made offer to Shawn Michaels to compete at Greatest Royal Rumble

One more match? Once or sometimes twice a year a new rumor surfaces of the WWE trying to convince Shawn Michales to come out of retirement to compete in more big money feud for the promotion. According to one of his former running mates in The Kliq, the WWE did just that recently and it wasn’t for WrestleMania 34.

On the latest episode of the X-Pac 1,2,360 podcast host Sean “X-Pac” Waltman broke a little news about a big name surprise the WWE wanted for the Greatest Royal Rumble this Friday in Saudi Arabia.

“There’s a lot of money being thrown around. It’s an insane amount of money being thrown around. I know that this weekend I was in Baltimore and I was with Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash and we were talking about that.”

You know they wanted to get Shawn, and he was just like, ‘you know what, don’t even bother sending me an offer and trying to tempt me’. Cause there’s huge money offers. And he’s going, ‘I got a thing with one of my kids, and I’m doing that and that’s all there is to it’. So good for him.”

If anyone needed any further proof how seriously the WWE is taking the Greatest Royal Rumble, throwing down a huge money offer at the doorstep of HBK to compete at the event may be it.

Eight years removed from his WrestleMania XXVI retirement match with The Undertaker, if Shawn Michaels were to ever come back to the WWE, how would you book him?
