WWE SmackDown Live ratings (April 24, 2018): Numbers drop post-Shakeup

Like its Monday night counterpart, the post-WrestleMania/Superstar Shakeup reality set in for SmackDown LIVE on April 24.

A little less than a quarter of a million fewer viewers than the week before tuned in to see the new line-up in action. With an audience of 2,549,000, WWE had the sixth biggest audience among cable originals, behind Rachel Maddow on MSNBC, Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity on Fox News, and two NBA Playoff games.

The rating among 18 - 49 year olds also declined, down to .8 after a couple weeks close to a whole number. That was third on cable for the night, behind TNT’s basketball broadcasts (Golden State ousting San Antonio was first and the Philadelphia’s series-clinching win over the Miami was second).

Percentage wise, its not as big a drop as Raw experienced. That’s good, right?

Decide if you think that means folks are more excited about the blue brand’s roster. You can consult this list of SmackDown’s numbers over the past six months (including overall 18 - 49 year old ratings for 2018 episodes) while you think about it:
