Samoa Joe: ‘I’m very much looking forward to becoming the Greatest Royal Rumble champion’

Here’s an interesting quote Samoa Joe gave the Saudi Gazette:

“This will be what we call a ‘tentpole’ event. We talk about grand opportunities to make a statement, I think winning the Greatest Royal Rumble in the history of the Royal Rumbles in Saudi Arabia is probably one of the greatest statements you can make.

“In your career to walk away champion of the Greatest Royal Rumble would be something people will take with them for a lifetime. I’m very much looking forward to becoming the Greatest Royal Rumble champion.”

WWE still hasn’t confirmed what exactly the winner of the Greatest Royal Rumble will receive, if anything. What also makes this interesting is Joe hasn’t been confirmed for the match. Instead, he’s booked for an Intercontinental title ladder match.

Of course, it’s entirely possible and maybe even likely he’ll be pulling double duty, considering there are 50 wrestlers set for the Greatest Royal Rumble. Multiple wrestlers are going to have to pull double duty.

Why not Joe?
