It’s a new era in the SmackDown Live women’s division, and WWE is getting it kicked off with a tag team match.
Indeed, the company announced today that Asuka, who came over to the blue brand in the Superstar Shakeup last week, will team up with Becky Lynch to take on The IIconics, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, who were called up from NXT just two days after WrestleMania 34. They’re the reason Charlotte lost her SmackDown women’s championship to Carmella, who cashed in following they dynamic duo’s beatdown of The Queen.
But Flair has a rematch to figure out and her eyes still on the prize. That leaves Becky and Asuka to battle the newcomers.
Becky is excited:
What a team we’ll make @Asuka https://t.co/eW2zcnm635
