WWE continued booking its upcoming Greatest Royal Rumble special scheduled for Fri., April 27, 2018, at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, adding two title matches.
First, Jeff Hardy defends the United States championship against Jinder Mahal. The latter showed up on the red brand as part of the Superstar Shakeup and General Manager Kurt Angle issued an open challenge on his behalf, leading to “The Charismatic Enigma” to take advantage.
This is Mahal invoking his rematch.
Second, Woken Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt successfully defeated The Revival in the finals of what was called the “Tag Team Eliminator” to earn a match against Cesaro and Sheamus for the vacant Raw tag team titles. They’re vacant because Some Kid had to go back to the fourth grade and couldn’t defend the belts alongside Braun Strowman.
Here’s the updated match card:
- Greatest Royal Rumble (50 man)
- Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns (Universal championship)
- Seth Rollins vs. The Miz vs. Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe (Intercontinental championship)
- Jeff Hardy vs. Jinder Mahal (U.S. championship)
- The Bludgeon Brothers vs. The Usos (SmackDown tag team championship)
- Cesaro & Sheamus vs. Bray Wyatt & Woken Matt Hardy (Raw tag team championship)
- Undertaker vs. Rusev (Casket match)
- Triple H vs. John Cena
