John Cena’s daily schedule includes moisturizing and NPR

Vanity Fair caught up with John Cena during his promotion of the movie, Blockers. Cena broke down everything his does in a day. Sadly, butt chugging is not part of the standard routine. Here is the video to find out what is.

The first nugget that stuck out to me is that John Cena moisturizes. That makes me laugh for some reason. Perhaps because I’m old-fashioned and uncouth when it comes to skincare.

On to basic talk about Cena’s workout. Four days a week, two lower/full body and two upper/full body. He warms up 45 minutes to one hour. Cena makes it funky, in post-workout smell that is.

If Cena chooses to listen to radio, NPR is his station of choice. “I feel like it is a way for me to think. And I feel as if they are open-minded enough to give me views they want on topics but to also make me come to my own conclusions.”

For leisure, Cena likes to play the piano or study Mandarin. Both are interesting choices for a Doctor of Thuganomics. Cena’s piano days started about a year and a half ago. He sounds pretty smooth speaking Mandarin, but I’ll leave that judgement to a native speaker.

Cena sleeps naked. He normally gets into bed by 11pm, but he later says he gets an average of one to four hours of sleep for a five day stretch while sleeping for eight maybe twelve hours on day six. That math does not add up. I’ll let you draw your own conclusions as to how that missing bed time in the nude is spent.

I think that lack of sleep may have affected Cena’s performance against the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 34. Cena looked delirious at times. Vanity Fair should do the same type of video with the Undertaker. I’d love to see the similarities and differences in daily lifestyle.

This was is an interesting glimpse into Cena’s activities. On one hand, there are lessons to be learned, such as keeping the mind active and no procrastinating. On the other hand, drinking protein shakes as your main sustenance and only sleeping one to four hours per night does not sound enjoyable. That shows the sacrifices it takes to be John Cena.

How does his day compare to yours? Any of his habits you might pick up?
