Wait, Jim Cornette liked something? Cornette didn’t just like a pro wrestling thing in 2018, he loved it. Teasing the pro wrestling lifer aside, Cornette provided an excellent review of the Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon an Triple H match at WrestleMania 34.
On the latest edition of The Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the longtime pro wrestling booker reviewed Rousey’s pro wrestling debut and gave it a perfect score.
“This was not only the highlight of the whole f***ing show, the highlight of the weekend and probably the best f***ing professional wrestling match I’ve seen in I don’t know how long. It was perfect. If Triple H laid this out, I bow to him, he is a genius.”

Ronda Rousey’s WWE debut was one of the bigger question marks heading into New Orleans and by almost everyone’s scale, the former UFC champion exceeded expectations. Rousey and Angle vs. McMahon and Triple H was the rare match during WrestleMania weekend that gave fans moments, storytelling and pure wrestling all confided within a single bell to bell sequence.
