Carmella cashes in, wins SmackDown women’s title

F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S.

After multiple failed attempts at cashing in her Money in the Bank contract, Carmella finally picked the right spot and successfully took the SmackDown women’s championship from Charlotte on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.

The Iconic Duo, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, had just shown up and made a statement on the blue brand by taking out the champion of the division. As they were leaving, Carmella ran in, dealt with a moron referee acting like he didn’t understand the concept of a Money in the Bank cash-in for a solid minute, and quickly pinned Charlotte to take the title.

This comes just two nights after “The Queen” ended Asuka’s unbeaten streak at WrestleMania 34.

It’s also comes just days before the next Superstar Shakeup, which will surely lead to speculation that Charlotte could be switching brands again. If so, it’s a good way to get the title off one of the top stars in the company.
