SmackDown Live commissioner Shane McMahon opened this week’s show with some big breaking news.
One night after Paige gave a heart wrenching speech to announce her retirement from in-ring competition, the former WWE Divas champion was appointed SmackDown’s new General Manager, taking the spot formerly held by Daniel Bryan, who will resume his work as a full time wrestler.
