If we’re to believe initial reports, WrestleMania 34 was originally going to feature Braun Strowman challenging The Miz for the Intercontinental championship, Seth Rollins wrestling Jason Jordan, and who even knows what Finn Balor would be doing.
But, you know, plans change!
Indeed, Strowman is off dealing with Elias while Jordan is out injured. That’s left us with both Rollins and Balor needing something interesting to do and Miz needing a challenger, or even challengers, for his title. One social media feud and a couple strong showings in big matches later and here we are.
Miz will, in fact, defend the Intercontinental championship against both Balor and Rollins at WrestleMania 34 on Sun., April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
They may not be the biggest stars, but they just might steal the show.
Here’s the updated WrestleMania 34 match card:
- Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns (Universal championship)
- AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE championship)
- Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon & Kurt Angle
- The Miz vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins (Intercontinental championship)
