If there was any doubt regarding the nature of Shane McMahon’s injuries or health ailments, as reported on by WWE — who didn’t help matters by keeping it within storyline — all that was removed by the SmackDown Live Commissioner posting the following:
The Wrestling Observer had noted his hospitalization for diverticulitis was legitimate and now this photo comes along to show us just that. That ailment is one Brock Lesnar suffered from during his MMA career, and, according to him, it greatly affected his performance and helped lead to his leaving the sport for a time.
Considering we’re less than two weeks from WrestleMania 34, where McMahon was rumored to be teaming with Daniel Bryan for a match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, it certainly appears as though WWE is going to have to change its plans. We’re just hours away from this week’s episode of SmackDown, however, so we’ll find out the new plan sooner rather than later.
And, if nothing else, it’s good to see Shane O’Mac healing up with his family.
